The Swiss brewery Cardinal , the second largest brewery of Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd., has increased the capacity of its filling and packaging lines for non-returnable bottles.
This Friday, operations at the re-outfitted facilities were officially initiated in Fribourg in the western part of Switzerland. The new filling and packaging lines will increase the capacity in Fribourg by 7000 to 32 000 non returnable-bottles per hour. At the same time, Cardinal presented its “bière de printemps” (spring beer). “Bière de printemps” is a so-called March beer, characterized by its strong color and a mildly bitter note. With its spring beer, Cardinal has revived an old brewing tradition. Beginning immediately, Cardinal’s spring beer (and the spring beer of Feldschlösschen as well) will be available for a limited period in selected bars and restaurants.
