Within the span of a year, Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd. is aiming to expand its warehousing capacity in the Rheinfelden brewery complex with an 18 million Swiss franc (12 million Euros) investment. The new building, going up on the company's own property within the complex, has floor space of 8,100 m² (90 x 90 metres). This project brings the total amount invested by Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd. in the Rheinfelden plant to about 50 million Swiss francs (37 million Euros). In the context of merging the two breweries in Rheinfelden, some 30 million Swiss francs are being invested this year alone. Highlights are the renovation of a filling line for bottles and cans, a new CO2 recycling facility, as well as the technical renovation of the mash house, although its form will remain unchanged – and thus it will remain, in the words of August Busch, head of Anheuser-Busch, the world's largest brewery based in the USA, «the most beautiful mash house in the world».
