Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd., which produces the brand Carlsberg for the Swiss market, is launching an advertising campaign featuring the stars of the Swiss national football team. The campaign was created by the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi Simko and includes two commercials and two different print ads.
The campaign features Swiss football stars like Murat Yakin, Johann Vogel and Patrick Müller and is based on the international Carlsberg campaign «Be prepared to share». «The new campaign gives us the possibility to share the enthusiasm of the football fans for their team», explains Massimo Di Dia, Senior Brand Manager at Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd. Carlsberg has been co-sponsor of the Swiss national football team since July 2004. In signing the contract, Feldschlösschen Beverages Ltd. also had the forthcoming European Championship in mind, as Carlsberg is an official sponsor of the Euro 2008 in Switzerland and Austria. In recent years Carlsberg has established itself as a sponsor in international football. Now Carlsberg is to be positioned as «the football beer» in Switzerland too.
