The employees of the Valaisanne brewery, Feldschlösschen’s smallest brewery, constructed the world’s tallest beer tower. It was made of acrylic glass (Perspex) and stands 3 meters tall with a diameter of 30 centimeters. The world record attempt took place on May 6 in Sion in the course of the “Open Door Day” hosted by the brewery for the local population. It took 45 minutes to fill the gigantic beer tower with 200 litres of Valaisanne beer – and half an hour to pour out the content and serve it to the sightseers. The complete information about the world’s tallest beer tower will now be sent to the editorial department of the “Guinness Book of Records”. “We hope that our world record will be verified within a few weeks and that the Valaisanne beer tower will be published in the next edition of the Guinness Book”, explains Fredy Stauffer, Head of the Valaisanne brewery.
